Introduction
Brief Overview of the Project Brief :
- The goal was to design the International Journal Website for Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College. The existing journal section was part of the main college website and lacked user engagement. The design aimed to create a vibrant, standalone platform for accessing and submitting journals.
My Role in the Project:
- I served as the UI/UX Designer. My primary responsibility was to transform the website, ensuring that the design effectively met the needs of our users.
Problem Statement
- Navigating was challenging, leading to confusion among facilities and students.
- Website design was not responsive for mobile devices and user had difficult using it on mobile devices.
Examples and Impacts of These Problems:
- Users reported difficulty in locating the journal section, which required navigating through various menus.
- This confusion led to a less engaging experience and a decrease in subscription rate.

- Brainstorming Sessions: We started with brainstorming sessions to explore various design options. This included improving navigation, introducing new layout styles, and conceptualizing gamification features.
- User Research: Conducted user research to understand user needs and pain points better.
